Media High School is a moderately sized high school located on Södra Hamngatan in central Gothenburg. We have about 270 students spread across the aesthetic program (ES), social science program (SA), and language introduction (IMS). We have about 25 staff members working here. Our school is characterized by good relationships both within and between different student groups/professions. Everyone should be able to develop into their best self in our environment. We are located in historic bank premises at Södra Hamngatan 19 in central Gothenburg.

We are now looking for a student assistant, primarily for a couple of students in different classes who need special support measures.

What we offer:

As a student assistant with us, you will be part of a small creative school with an engaged and well-functioning staff group.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is used to communicating with young people who have various challenges, while also being a positive adult role model. You will primarily work with a few individual students in our national programs. They need support in handling texts, assistance in mathematics, and general organizational support. You are familiar with software such as the Office suite and working in a Google environment.

You are calm and organized and have a good ability to build positive relationships.

You will need to present a current extract from the criminal record register to work in high school.

Qualifications:

At least a high school diploma from a college preparatory program, preferably supplemented with training as a student assistant or equivalent. Knowledge in mathematics at least equivalent to mathematics 2b.

Desirable additional qualifications:

Experience working in high school. If you also have experience with Google Classroom and Schoolsoft, that is an additional merit.

The position is a student assistant position for the remainder of the 24/25 school year at 80% with a start date of 25-02-03 or by agreement.
