The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kvibergsnässkolan is an adapted primary school with 15 students, grades 1-9. The operation is aimed at children at an early developmental level and with autism. We have just over 20 staff members working here, consisting of 3 teachers and 18 teaching assistants. Student work is characterized by low-affect responses, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).

As a special teacher, you work to teach and challenge students to reach their full potential and knowledge development through your teaching. Your task is to design, adapt, and implement teaching to meet the specific needs of the students and to guide teaching assistants in their student-supporting work. As a special teacher, you are responsible for the students' knowledge development by mapping their pedagogical and didactic needs and translating that into pedagogical practice.

We have a dynamic operation where joy, imagination, and creativity are given ample space. In our workplace, it is important that you, together with other staff, create a desire to learn, are involved and engaged so that students have their skills and needs placed in a context where they can fully develop. Our students require you to have a good ability to collaborate with your colleagues and cooperate with guardians and other actors outside the school to create a creative holistic approach to the children's well-being and development. As support in this important work, you will also receive a present, knowledgeable, and engaged deputy principal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed primary school teacher and is or has an ongoing license to become a special teacher. If you have experience teaching in an adapted primary school, it is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have broad subject competence, preferably including some practical aesthetic subject in your license, experience working with AAC, and a relationship-based approach. Teaching takes place within subjects and/or subject areas.

You are confident in your teaching role and have a commitment to developing and shaping the pedagogical operation based on the students' needs and conditions, as well as having a good ability to build trusting relationships with both students and their guardians. You enjoy collaborating in a team but also taking your own initiatives to drive the work forward. You share your own knowledge and experience but are also curious to learn from others. You lead and distribute work in the classroom with clarity, structure, and good planning, keeping a cool head and a warm heart with boundaries and hugs.

You take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operation and students in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and are solution-focused with a relational and salutogenic approach. We warmly welcome your application!
