The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school centers. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Björkåsskolan is a K-6 school in Järnbrott, Västra Frölunda, where we have just over 330 students. The school is part of the southwestern school area 2 together with Flatåsskolan.

Björkåsskolan is a newly built school from 2019 that is characterized by a positive climate, good camaraderie where we care for each other. Here you will have the chance to meet students from all corners of the world. We want to contribute to a democratic community, where all students are involved and with an environment where differences are seen as an asset. The school is organized into grade-specific working teams where we gather around the student's entire day.

We are now looking for a licensed teacher for the after-school program. As a teacher in the after-school program, you are responsible for the pedagogical activities at the after-school center. You are responsible for planning, designing, and following up on the activities in the after-school program based on the curriculum's purpose and central content for the after-school program.

You participate in the common processes and contribute to the school's development together with your colleagues according to the curriculum's and school's goals. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher for the after-school program. Good Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement for the position.

You have the desire and ability to build relationships with both colleagues and students as well as their guardians. To thrive with us, you need to be proactive, responsible, and have a positive view of students, as well as being committed to completing what has been started. The work requires that you have the ability to adapt based on the situation, and to thrive with that we prefer that you are secure and resilient in your professional role.

A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you.
