Staff Assistant (SIS) to 2nd Helicopter Squadron
Are you interested in a position at the Swedish Armed Forces' largest helicopter squadron? Do you want to be an important part of Sweden's helicopter capability during war and crisis? 2nd Helicopter Squadron is now recruiting two staff assistants (SIS) for the squadron.
The position is located in the squadron staff at the 2nd Helicopter Squadron. As a staff assistant SIS, you work directly under a section chief led by the staff chief. You participate in the preparation, planning, and execution of the squadron's operations.
The employment includes participation in readiness, exercises, and follow-up of operations, sometimes at another location.
Main Responsibilities
As a SIS soldier, you work to regroup, establish, and maintain the command post the squadron sets up in the field, as well as support daily operations within the framework of readiness, exercises, national and emergent missions. The position involves a lot of material and vehicle service, in addition to the operation and maintenance of communication systems. Staff resource.
Qualifications
- Completed military service/GMU with a passing result (can be ongoing with a good prognosis at the time of recruitment)
- Experience in communication service.
- Good basic physical ability
- Driving license B (manual transmission)
Meritorious
- Education in signal protection, radio, radio link, electrical power, and data communication.
- Experience in staff service
- Served as GSS/K
- Military driving licenses and higher category driving licenses
- Experience with the PRIO system
- Good user proficiency in MS Office
- Express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.
Helicopter support is in demand by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.
Our operations span across Sweden, the variety of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide variation in work and opportunities for personal development.
