Special Helicopter Group (SHG) - MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER
The Special Helicopter Group (SHG) is a special operations unit within the Swedish Armed Forces' special operations system (FMSF) located at the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. Like other units within FMSF, SHG has high demands on availability from specially selected personnel and a service that requires operational experience as well as educational and competency levels.
The unit is currently growing in all its components and is therefore looking for additional reinforcement for the staff.
About the Position
As a MISSION SUPPORT OFFICER at SHG, you will be part of the unit's staff, placed in the execution section, S3/5. The section's main tasks are to plan and coordinate the execution of the unit's activities in close collaboration with other units within FMSF. The work is varied, with planning and execution on both short and long-term in close cooperation with other parts of the staff and the unit. A typical work week includes both operational activities and training of either yourself or others.

- Service in squadron staff, or a combined staff with other parts of FMSF.
- Collaboration with a wide range of contact points – within your own organization, FMSF, other parts of the Armed Forces, and external parties.
We offer a stimulating work environment that places very high demands on creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills across a broad range of tasks. The composition of the section and extensive operations provide great variation in daily service, where the individual's ability to adapt and openness to new tasks is crucial.
The position involves readiness for national and international operations and includes a relatively large amount of travel, both within and outside Sweden.
Qualifications
- OF 1-2 or SO 6-7.
- Approved according to FM FysS.
- Driver's license class B.
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
- Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
- Other language skills.
- Previous staff experience at tactical or operational level.
- Service at MSE in flying units.

At SHG, equality is a given; we are a unit where everyone contributes to delivering results in a high-performing team. We therefore welcome both female and male applicants from all branches of the Armed Forces.
Personal Qualities
You have a natural talent for organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating complex operations, even under time pressure and when conditions are inadequate or rapidly changing. As a person, you are social and unpretentious with a positive attitude towards new challenges.
