Special Helicopter Group (SHG)
is a special operations unit within the Swedish Armed Forces' special operations system (FMSF) located at the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. SHG's primary tasks are tactical transport, intelligence gathering, and air support. Like other units within FMSF, SHG has high demands for availability from specially selected personnel, with extensive operational experience and a high level of training and competence.
About the Position
SHG is seeking several employees within the logistics function for the positions of LOGISTICS OFFICER and QUARTERMASTER. These positions are being recruited both for the S4 staff and for the unit's newly established base company. The company includes several supporting functions, including technical services, communications/IT, logistics, and fuel. Depending on your background and interests, you will be placed in a suitable position.
The Logistics Officer/Quartermaster is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing logistics within the squadron together with a smaller work team. The logistics function at the company is more closely tied to operations and more hands-on, such as managing aviation fuel, while S4 plans and prepares.
Additional diverse tasks will be added, and the work places high demands on initiative, problem-solving ability, and the willingness to see and understand what needs to be done in order to increase the unit's efficiency and capability. Travel within and outside of Sweden occurs frequently in daily service. The position requires maintaining readiness for national and international operations, sometimes with short notice.
Main Responsibilities
- Be a material officer, conduct inventories.
- Support commanders with logistics issues.
- Assist the squadron with purchases and orders in daily operations.
- Be the quartermaster during and prior to exercises.
- Be prepared to be responsible for the squadron's premises.
Qualifications
- Specialist officer SO 6-7.
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
- Approved according to FM FysS.
- Driver's license class B.
- Logistics experience within the Armed Forces.
- Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
- Driver's license/permit C, CE, forklift, loader.
- Vehicle instructor.
- Training in technical services company or equivalent.
- Knowledge in logistics management SAP/PRIO.
- Supply training.
- Previously completed international service.
- Interest in technology/vehicle services.
