Fortifikationsverket owns, develops, and manages properties for total defense. We are experts in fortification, that is, protection and construction technology. Our main mission is to contribute to increased defense capability – for a safe and free Sweden.

Your everyday life – contribute to strengthening Sweden's total defense

Fortifikationsverket is in a strong expansion phase with large investment volumes to continue developing and building properties and facilities within the defense sector. The management staff consists of several units that work with creating conditions for the entire authority, both in the short and long term. The serious security situation places high demands on Fortifikationsverket to operate at all levels of conflict.

The property development unit is responsible for all property transactions at Fortifikationsverket. This practically means both acquisitions for new establishments, acquisitions adjacent to existing establishments, and partial divestitures through sales. The unit is also responsible for the authority's land surveying issues. The property development unit has about 20 employees who are geographically located in various places across the country, consisting of property developers, property strategists, a government architect, investment leaders, and property controllers.

As an investment leader in the property development unit, you belong to the investment and control group led by a group manager. You have a central role in the unit and actively participate in the unit's planning in close collaboration with the group manager. You also work closely with our property developers and property strategists regarding financial closures, decision and investment agreements. An important and fundamental part of the group's tasks is component and facility accounting, where the investment leader plays a crucial role. The position also includes compiling and following up on investment forecasts, producing statistics, and being responsible for developing and ensuring that common processes and working methods are followed within the unit. Travel is required in the position, as Fortifikationsverket operates throughout the country.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in real estate, economics, or other work experience that we consider equivalent. You have several years of experience in property transactions, forecasting work, or investigations – preferably in project form within public operations. You are used to working in various IT systems and have extensive experience working with IT system support. You have excellent administrative skills and very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. A class B driver's license and Swedish citizenship are required.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with property law and contract management. It is also beneficial if you have experience in investment activities in a fortification context.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and entails placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
