Recruiter at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport.

JOB DESCRIPTION

With prisons, remand facilities, probation offices, and our national transport unit as your clients, you will primarily work with volume recruitment of correctional officers but also with the recruitment of other professional roles. You will work with one or two of our operational areas where you are the contact person and the one who operationally manages the recruitment processes of the area. You will conduct kick-off meetings, publish job ads, make selections, plan and conduct interviews, handle administration, and everything else related to the recruitment process. You will collaborate closely with the managers and HR officers of your operational area, as well as with your colleagues in the recruitment group.

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service works with competency-based recruitment, and as a government authority, we base our recruitment on merit and skill. Within the recruitment team, we also conduct security interviews and security assessments. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service strives to be an attractive and visible employer, and as a recruiter, you are therefore an important ambassador in our work with employer branding by participating in attraction efforts and in the digital channels where we communicate with our candidates.

In the recruitment group, employees take responsibility for a common mission and share valuable knowledge, while the work is largely driven independently. Working in a government authority means working in an organization governed by rules and routines, but also where you contribute to change and new ways of thinking.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who works well with others, is accommodating, and has a desire to help others. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and can change your perspective. In your work, you plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively. You take responsibility and structure your work approach to drive processes forward.

It is important to us that you share the fundamental values of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service regarding a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the human will and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in HR/PA or another education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
  • Experience in competency-based recruitment.
  • Experience in all parts of the recruitment process.
  • Experience working in recruitment systems.
  • Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in volume recruitment.
