The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.
The HR department is a national department at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's headquarters, tasked with ensuring that the agency has good conditions to further develop its ability to achieve its goals by being an attractive employer. The HR department is on an exciting development and transformation journey and consists of four units divided into units for education, planning and employer development, operational HR support, and leadership and employee engagement.
The Education Unit will work strategically and long-term with educational supply and competence development for the entire agency and, in close collaboration with the operations, plan, develop, administer, implement, follow up, and quality assure training. The Education Unit consists of six sections, including one section that works with planning and follow-up and one section that works with admissions and training production, as well as four sections whose main task is to implement the agency's common training for employees and managers. The Education Unit currently has training facilities in six locations across the country: Gothenburg, Härnösand, Malmö, Norrköping, Stockholm, and Örebro. The Planning and Follow-up Section is responsible for directing and developing the agency's common training. The section maps and analyzes training needs, assesses and manages the training supply. The section also handles operational planning, budget, finance, and goal follow-up, as well as conducting environmental monitoring.
