The Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education. The municipality has 23 preschools organized into ten units with principals, led by the operations manager.

Inspired by the pedagogical philosophy of Reggio Emilia, the municipality's preschools work project-oriented with children's exploration as the foundation. Together, we strive to create a qualitative and equitable preschool for all children in the municipality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is centrally located within the organization, and you will report to the operations manager. The role involves close collaboration with central functions and colleagues and includes both operational and strategic work focusing on equity, pedagogical development, and aesthetic processes.

The position consists of two parts. First, you will work with the preschool strategist and school principal to develop systematic quality work by analyzing results and translating them into goals and concrete activities. The second part of the assignment is to further develop Skolgatan 15, the municipality's pedagogical development center for preschools, together with the central atelierista. Here, staff meet in interactive environments and ateliers for workshops, experience exchange, and collaborative learning.

The role also includes creating, planning, and conducting educational initiatives such as lectures and workshops. You will work closely with the operations by providing guidance to work teams in the preschools, based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy's view of children's hundred languages.

The position is planned to encompass 80%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with atelierist training. You have documented experience working according to the Reggio Emilia philosophy, systematic quality work at the principal level, and guidance of staff in the operations.

Furthermore, you have experience in lecturing and leading educational initiatives for both larger and smaller groups, as well as a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You can switch between operational work in the field and overarching analysis and strategic work at the principal level.

You handle stress constructively, maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity, and have the ability to keep a realistic perspective and focus on the right things. You are relationship-building and take active initiative in social and professional contexts. You create trusting contacts and contribute to good collaborations.
