Moraberg Study Center is a small high school with about 220 students where we have gathered teachers and a student health team with specialized competence for students who want to qualify for national programs and/or develop their new language, Swedish. Students have the opportunity to take high school courses in combination with primary school subjects. Our goal is to motivate and guide students towards further studies or into the workforce.
At Moraberg Study Center, all students should feel welcome, seen, and understood, and a warm and relationship-oriented climate should prevail. At Moraberg Study Center, students choose to study in one of the following introductory programs: Language Introduction, Individual Alternative, Vocational Introduction towards stylist, and Motorcycle Mechanics. The school is also responsible for the municipal activity responsibility.

The position is a full-time substitute starting in August 2026.

Your responsibilities

Your work will include planning and teaching in the introductory programs. You will teach mathematics and science subjects. Your assignment includes assessing and grading students against the goals in grade 9.
You will be part of a highly competent work and subject team, and you will meet your colleagues regularly.
You are an important part of the collegial learning where you have great opportunities to exchange pedagogical experiences and develop the operations together with your colleagues.
The position also includes mentoring responsibilities. Your task includes motivating students to qualify for the National Program and providing students who are eager to enter the workforce with the right conditions to succeed.
We see the entire school as a learning organization where joint training, workshops, and collegial learning are important parts. The school is constantly engaged in exciting development work, part of which is that all staff have good knowledge of NPF. For several years, we have collaborated with high schools in Sweden on Intensive Swedish, a research-based method for newly arrived students to develop the Swedish language.

Who are you?

In your role as a teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the current curriculum and other governing documents. Based on this, you have the ability to plan your teaching and allow students to participate in the design. You believe in students' willingness and ability to succeed, and you constantly strive to develop your teaching to provide your students with the best conditions.

Requirements:
- You are a licensed teacher in mathematics and one of the subjects biology, physics, or chemistry.

Meritorious:
- Experience teaching, assessing, and grading at the middle school level.
- Good knowledge of NPF.

Personal qualities:
- You have a positive and empathetic approach,
- You have a good ability to identify success factors for student learning and believe in each individual's potential for development
- You are responsible and approach your work with great commitment
