Study and Career Advisor

ABF Stockholm is looking for a Study and Career Advisor for our adult education in the ABF house. We are seeking a Study and Career Advisor for Adult Education – Municipal education at basic and upper secondary level, as well as healthcare and social care education.

ABF Stockholm's adult education has been operating since 2004 in the ABF house in central Stockholm. Our adult education is recognized for its high quality and is characterized by very satisfied participants and engaged employees.

Main Responsibilities

As a study and career advisor, you will be responsible for guiding our Komvux participants in their studies and in preparation for future studies and working life. You will be responsible for providing information and guidance to our participants studying within Komvux. You will conduct individual conversations as well as larger informational meetings in our study groups and at course starts. You will have continuous contact with our clients. You will be part of a team with additional study and career advisors and administrative coordination staff.

As a person, we see that you are passionate about empowering and highlighting people's agency and opportunities. You have a holistic view, are flexible, and detail-oriented. You are responsible and enjoy collaborating with others and thrive in an unpretentious environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working as a study and career advisor in adult education, upper secondary school, or university.
• Has completed a degree in study and career guidance.
• Is knowledgeable in guidance conversations and is a good educator.
• Has excellent knowledge of the Swedish education system in general and adult education in particular; has insight into governing documents, regulations, methods, and routines within Komvux.
• Has excellent knowledge of the labor market.
• Is preferred if you have experience working with vocational education in healthcare and social care.
• Is structured and has good administrative skills.

Employment Type and Start Date

The position is a permanent part-time employment at 50%
