You will teach our students in grades 3-9 in wood and metal crafts. At Blombackaskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching. You create a positive learning environment with accessible teaching that sparks a desire to learn and gives students the opportunity to develop based on their conditions. In the classroom, you are a clear leader with high expectations, building trusting relationships and giving students the responsibility to work both independently and in groups. Your leadership and varied teaching contribute to safety and study peace. 

We offer you a permanent position at 100% as a teacher in wood and metal crafts, which includes mentorship. You will be part of an engaged and skilled faculty with a good collaborative culture. We have social educators who work closely with teachers in daily operations, as well as a professional student health team that collaborates with you, students, and guardians to create the best possible conditions for learning. 
 

Your responsibilities

At Blombackaskolan, we work with language and knowledge-developing teaching, based on our jointly developed teaching model. You plan based on clear learning objectives with a focus on student participation and understanding. Reading in all subjects is an important part of the teaching, and you use structured reading activities and reading methods to strengthen students' reading skills and subject knowledge. You are part of both subject teams and work teams, where collegial learning, joint planning, and reflection enhance the quality of teaching. You also actively contribute to the school's overall development work and work for equitable and sustainable teaching for all students.

Requirements:
- You have a degree with a teaching license in the craft subject with a focus on wood and metal.
- You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a formative approach to your teaching.
- You have competence and experience in working with a language and knowledge-developing approach with good results.

Meritorious:
- You have a teaching license in another subject.  
- You have experience and skill in using digital tools, and these tools are used consciously to strengthen students' learning. 

Personal qualities:
- You work for a sustainable organization where you spread knowledge, take responsibility, and support your colleagues. 
- You have a good ability for analysis and reflection and are constantly developing your professional role and the school's work.
- You are a clear leader in the classroom and have the ability to adapt your teaching to the student group you meet. 
- You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and to communicate with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures that the recipient understands what you mean.

Blombackaskolan is a two-parallel F-9 school with about 500 students and 70 staff members. The school is centrally located in Södertälje, near Torekällberget, with proximity to nature and good transport links.
