Here at Lilla Alby School, we have big visions for the future and want you to have the same. We are an F-6 school with about 480 students. The school is located in Lilla Alby in central Sundbyberg, close to tram, bus, subway, and commuter train.

The school consists of two buildings: the newer red building and the older white building. We have purpose-built classrooms for art, music, home economics, and the school library. Our after-school care has partially its own facilities designed for its activities. The white building's playground, for grades F-3, is built to encourage play and is well-suited for the lower grades. The red building's playground, for grades 4-6 and after-school hours, has a multi-sport area suitable for various ball sports. The close proximity to Tuvan Park is a great asset for active recess and after-school activities. The music room is in the school's small Aula, which also has a smaller stage, allowing for performances. In the afternoons, the Aula is used by the after-school care BaZen.

At Lilla Alby School, you will work alongside dedicated colleagues who drive school and after-school development with the aim of making Lilla Alby School the obvious choice for both students and educators in preschool, school, and after-school care. The school's prioritized areas focus on ensuring that every student has the opportunity to develop maximally in terms of knowledge and social interaction. Fundamentally, there is a municipal-wide effort for Accessible Learning and the local movement initiative PulsSprintGo, including active recess.

As a music teacher at Lilla Alby School, you will teach from grades 1 to 6. The position is 80%, four days a week, and you will be part of the grade 6 team. If you have additional subject qualifications for grades 4-6, there may be a possibility to extend to full-time.

Your responsibilities include being in charge of music education for the classes, grading in grade 6, and music related to the school's various traditions, such as school start, graduations, Lucia, etc.

Qualifications

• You have relevant education/teaching certification to teach music.
• You are a skilled music teacher who can accompany on guitar and/or piano at a professional level.
• You have a developed music canon relevant to the curriculum and the student demographic aged 6-13.
• During a potential interview, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills.
• You are an engaged teacher who has a good ability to create positive relationships with children and adults.
• As a person, you reflect on your teaching and results.
• You adapt so that all students are given the opportunity for high goal fulfillment.
• You have high expectations of the students and an inclusive approach.
• You are accustomed to using digital tools in your music teaching.

To be eligible for a permanent position, you must have a teaching certification in music up to grade 6. Experience in classroom music teaching is an advantage.
