Rösjöskolan is located in Edsberg, close to nature reserves and Rösjön. Approximately 420 students attend from preschool to grade 6. We offer school and leisure activities for students in primary school, adapted primary school, and preparatory classes. The operation has a school environment that creates all the conditions for movement, learning, and health, and our employees are driven to make a difference and create conditions for each student to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. The compensatory mission is significant, and the school actively works to create both a socially and academically supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a playground teacher at Rösjöskolan, you are present on the playground based on the needs of the operation, where you lead both free and structured activities that create movement, participation, and a positive social environment. In the leisure activities, you participate in planning and implementing activities, both in your own group and together with colleagues. You are responsible for the recess supervisor schedule and are involved in developing the design of the playground, both aesthetically and functionally, to create an inspiring and accessible environment for all students.
You work closely with students and staff to create safety, structure, and an inclusive school day. The role includes managing conflicts both in the short and long term, where you work systematically with mapping and documentation through the operation's reporting tools. You collaborate in targeted interventions around students based on needs and in close dialogue with all working teams. The assignment involves handling many tasks simultaneously, adapting to the needs of groups and individuals, and working solution-focused in situations that can sometimes be intense.
As part of the assignment, you also support during physical education lessons, especially in the middle school, and participate in swimming lessons with different student groups. Through your engagement, presence, and leadership, you contribute to creating meaningful activities and a playground where all students have the opportunity to develop.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be a self-driven person who takes initiative and creates structure even in an environment where a lot is happening simultaneously. You are flexible in your approach and can adapt to the students' needs and situations that arise during the day.
You have strong collaboration skills and build safe and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have a holistic view and understand how your work contributes to safety, learning, and well-being, especially in an operation where students' needs can vary and where the school actively works to provide all students with good conditions.
You work systematically and carefully, both in planning and implementation, and have good digital skills in using educational tools and systems. You also have the willingness to develop the operation, evaluate working methods, and reshape based on what is best for the students.
Requirements
- Licensed teacher for leisure activities or other education deemed suitable by the employer
- Experience leading groups and activities in a school environment.
- Experience in contact with guardians.
- Fluent spoken and written Swedish and English.
Meritorious
- Qualified teacher in sports and/or health
- Experience working with sports, movement, or similar activities.
