Workplace Description

Fruängens school is a F-9 school with 600 students. The school is located adjacent to Fruängen's center with good transport links - subway and buses. The area is characterized by buildings from the 50s and 60s, but newer residential areas have also been added.

The school consists of six buildings beautifully situated around a schoolyard with pines and large areas for play and movement. The classrooms are modern and offer a stimulating working environment. Interactive whiteboards are available in all classrooms, libraries, and digital resources. We have our own kitchen that serves a delicious and healthy lunch every day of the year.

The school's student health team consists of a school nurse, counselor, study and career advisor, and special education teacher. At each stage, there are special teachers and special teaching groups for additional support.

Job Description

We are now looking for a teacher in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, and English for teaching in grades 7-9. The person we are looking for is a certified teacher with broad competence and experience. You will work in a team with other colleagues in Swedish and English and be a mentor in a class in grade 8. The position also includes teaching in an alternative to language choice (Swedish-English). The position is a full-time temporary position for a teacher on leave during the autumn term.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher, qualified for grades 7-9 in Swedish and English. You are creative and have a good ability to meet and challenge students in their learning and growth. You have good collaboration skills and can adapt to different conditions. You have knowledge and competence in meeting students with challenges in schoolwork.

If you are a newly graduated teacher, you are entitled to a mentor during your first year, the introductory period.
