The school is centrally located in Sundbyberg, close to the tram, bus, subway, and commuter train. The school has newly built/renovated and suitable classrooms for subjects such as art, music, and home economics, as well as a very good school library. The playground of the White House is designed to encourage play and is well suited for the lower grades. The playground of the Red House has a multi-sport area that is suitable for various ball sports. The direct proximity to Tuvan Park is a great asset for breaks and after-school activities. We are now looking for a Physical Education Teacher - a permanent position starting in August 2026.

As a Physical Education Teacher, during the 2026/2027 school year, you will teach approximately 40% physical education and serve as a resource teacher for about 40%. You will co-plan with the school's physical education teacher, who is also a lead teacher, and have close collaboration with the teachers in your work team. As a resource teacher for 40%, you will teach Swedish/SVA and mathematics by providing support in the classroom alongside the mentor, but also work individually with students/groups who need extra support.

Your role includes participating in the school's development. Every week, you and your colleagues meet under the guidance of the lead teacher and school management. The school's prioritized areas focus on ensuring that every student has the opportunity to develop maximally in terms of knowledge and social interaction. At the core is the municipality-wide work on Accessible Learning, and we have recently started a development project called USiP - Teaching Skills in Practice, where educators have the opportunity to develop their teaching by observing each other's lessons.

Lilla Alby School is a movement school with a health initiative we call PSG - Pulse Sprint Go. We focus on increased physical activity throughout the school day, which includes scheduled movement breaks. We see that increased movement not only improves students' health for both mind and body but also benefits their knowledge acquisition. As a physical education teacher at Lilla Alby School, part of your responsibilities will be to lead PSG in certain classes.

Qualifications

• We want you to be a certified teacher in physical education for grades 1-6 and have qualifications in Swedish/SVA and mathematics.

• A requirement is that you master the Swedish language well in both spoken and written form.

The position is a permanent position at 80% starting Monday, August 10, 2026.
