About Us

Preschool Area 2 in Solna Municipality currently consists of seven preschools; Kullen, Juvelen, Udden, Lyckoklövern, Fjorden, Thor, and Rudviken, as well as three open preschools Månen, Solen, and Mittpunkten.

The preschool is the place where children begin their journey within the education system. For the first time, children encounter a larger social arena than family and friends. It is a great responsibility that rests on all of us working within the preschool, and we must provide children with positive experiences from their first encounter with preschool. This is where we lay the foundation for joy and the desire to play and learn throughout life. Together, we work to offer an education and teaching that makes a difference for all our children.

What Does the Job Entail?

In your role as a preschool teacher with us, you will work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. Together with your team, you will plan, implement, document, follow up, and evaluate the preschool's education and teaching. You are well aware that the preschool's activities should rest on scientific grounds and proven experience, and you practice accordingly.

The preschool curriculum is the focus of our preschools, and you are expected to implement it in practical action together with your colleagues. You are also responsible for leading, planning, and ensuring the quality of the daily work. As a preschool teacher, you promote each child's development and learning based on their conditions, experiences, and needs. You create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher degree and certification. You have experience working as a preschool teacher and are well acquainted with the preschool's governing documents, values, and curriculum. For the role, you need to have pedagogical insight, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and competence in language-developing methods and multilingualism.

You meet each child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you have a professional approach and work to create good relationships with guardians and colleagues. If you also have a relational approach to children, guardians, and colleagues characterized by respect, attentiveness, and humility, you are welcome to share your knowledge with us! We want you to contribute with engagement and a drive to develop the preschool's education and teaching. You reflect on your work and contribute to systematic quality work both at the department and for the entire preschool. You are clear in your leadership and can organize the work together with your team. You have good collaboration skills and contribute with an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach.

You want to be part of creating and building a good pedagogical learning environment for play, development, and learning, and you have knowledge and ideas on how you and your colleagues can realize the goals and values of the curriculum. You have a positive attitude towards your work and act in accordance with decisions made, operational plans, goals, policies, and guidelines.

We work in smaller groups of children, and our goal is for all children to experience a fun, safe, and educational preschool environment. You should be flexible and willing to work with children of all ages.
