Welcome to us
The Culture Administration has about 1000 employees and includes the Culture School, Stockholm City Library, Liljevalchs Art Gallery, Stockholm Art, and the City Museum.
The Events Department organizes large public events such as the Stockholm Culture Festival and the youth festival We Are Sthlm. The Culture Administration's activities have about 11 million visits each year.
The Culture Administration works to ensure that the cultural offerings in Stockholm consist of a diversity of different expressions, offerings, and opportunities while also containing both breadth and depth. The Culture Administration is responsible for the majority of municipally operated cultural activities and provides support to the independent cultural sector.
A challenge for the Culture Administration is to reach more groups that we do not currently reach. Everyone should feel welcome in our activities, which places high demands on employees' competence and commitment. We actively work with sustainability and strive for gender equality and diversity. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
In our world, culture is important. We need spaces for culture. Places that allow for play, creativity, and dreams. Spaces where one can discover, develop, and express oneself. Spaces for imagination!
