Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions.

We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Workplace Description

Bredäng School is a multicultural F-9 school with about 450 students, of which approximately 30 are enrolled in adapted primary education.

There are more than 30 different native languages spoken here. The school is located in the center of Bredäng, close to a swimming pool, subway, and beautiful nature. A large schoolyard and nice surrounding areas offer good opportunities for outdoor education.

Our vision is that "Everyone should succeed!" To ensure everyone succeeds, educators and teachers work with language-developing methods, cooperative learning, digitalization, and with norms and values. In the adapted primary school, AAC is a significant part of both the learning environment and communication. Our goal is for all students to develop a good self-esteem and a desire to learn, ensuring their rightful place in society as democratic citizens.

Job Description

We are looking for a teacher for the after-school program and short-term supervision at our adapted primary school. Teaching in a class may also be included. The position is full-time.

During the school day, you will be part of a class team together with the class teacher and student assistants. You will be responsible for planning and analyzing the after-school program and short-term supervision activities together with a colleague. Everyone working in the after-school program collaborates in the implementation.

Qualifications

We expect you to be a licensed teacher for after-school programs. It is advantageous to have studied special education or courses in low-arousal approaches, AAC, or other training aimed at students in need of special support.

You have experience working in adapted primary education. You are accustomed to documenting, planning, and evaluating. You are familiar with and understand governing documents such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, LGRa22, and the Education Act. You take great responsibility and are considerate.

You are structured, stable, and clear. You have good communication and collaboration skills.

Other

At Bredäng School, you will be part of a large community with all staff at the primary school. We have a lot of collaboration in everyday life between the primary school and the adapted primary school.

You will enjoy pedagogical lunch in our newly renovated dining hall and have the opportunity to train in our small gym before or after working hours.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thereby counteracting discrimination.
