University Lecturer in Business Administration with a focus on Finance

The Department of Business Administration is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences at Stockholm University, with approximately 140 employees and around 3,500 students per academic year.

Subject/Subject Description

Business Administration with a focus on Finance.

Job Responsibilities

The holder will conduct courses at both basic and advanced levels in finance. The responsibilities also include supervising students at various levels, course development, course management, and independent research. Teaching is largely conducted in English.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligible for appointment as a university lecturer in business administration with a focus on finance is one who has obtained a doctorate in business administration with a focus on corporate finance or financial economics or has a Swedish or foreign degree deemed equivalent to such a doctorate.

To be assessed as eligible, the applicant must demonstrate documented pedagogical experience and competence in teaching corporate finance or financial economics.

Pedagogical competence must have been demonstrated through teaching at both the basic and advanced levels in finance. Competence must be well documented in a way that allows for the assessment of the quality of the pedagogical activities.

Assessment Criteria

In the appointment process, particular importance will be attached to pedagogical competence demonstrated through own teaching at both basic and advanced levels as well as supervision, course management, and pedagogical development within the discipline of finance.

Significant emphasis is also placed on experience in teaching corporate finance.

Importance is placed on administrative skills as well as the ability to collaborate with the surrounding community and to inform about research and development work.

Meritorious is higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.

About the Employment

The position is full-time and is limited to a period of four (4) months. More than one applicant may be hired. Start date by agreement.
