Welcome to us

Do you want to help continue developing one of Stockholm's largest adapted primary schools? "We know what we can do, where we are going, and how we will get there - Together we take the next step."

Hökarängsskolan covers grades 1-9 and preschool class as well as after-school care, leisure club, and adapted primary school. The school serves approximately 550 students.

Hökarängsskolan aims to be a school for everyone: Each student should be engaged in good learning processes, feel comfortable and well here and now, and leave school with good results and well-prepared for the future. The staff should be committed and have high expectations of each other, themselves, and the students. The students should be engaged, involved, and responsible. As part of our development work, teachers meet in pedagogical development groups to enhance teaching.

Hökarängsskolan is a newly renovated school from the 1950s with large, beautiful premises. The entrance and the school's light hall are welcoming and the heart of the school. Here you will find student health facilities, administration, staff rooms, workrooms, maintenance, music, and craft classrooms. Adjacent to the light hall, there is an entire corridor with the adapted school's facilities.

It is now possible to apply for one of our special education teacher positions in the adapted primary school. We are looking for someone who wants to work in our middle school class with about 15-20 students, two teachers, several assistants, and two classrooms.

We offer

Your role

In the role of special education teacher within the adapted primary school, you will work with colleagues to ensure that our students receive the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development. Together, we build an operation with commitment and positive collaboration so that students can reach their full potential based on the educational goals. The assignment involves leading and organizing teaching and being a mentor in our middle school class alongside your colleague. You are an important leader for the class and the holistic view of the students and work closely with student assistants. You also collaborate closely with teaching colleagues and other professionals within student health regarding both everyday issues in ongoing teaching and in collegial and collective development work.

You have experience working with students in adapted primary schools and organizing teaching in classes where variations in function are represented.
