Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a laboratory technician to work with sample handling within the framework of large-scale sequencing at the forefront of precision diagnostics during the summer of 2026.

The work is done in a team with broad interdisciplinary expertise and access to a laboratory with modern and advanced infrastructure.

The role includes;

Maintaining the laboratory (cleaning, restocking supplies, etc.)
Handling incoming samples, performing quality control, and preparing libraries for large-scale DNA and RNA sequencing (NGS sequencing)
Working with pipetting robots and other smaller instruments
Documenting results in the quality system and communicating with partners

Qualifications

Requirements

A degree at the undergraduate or graduate level (higher education) in molecular life sciences, e.g., biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular biology, biochemistry, or equivalent competence.
Previous documented experience of laboratory work with molecular biological methods (course labs are not relevant)
Ability to adapt to new situations and personal qualities that support a flexible working style
Personal qualities that promote collaboration both internally and externally, you find it easy to build good relationships with different staff groups
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, as it is required in daily work.

Meritorious

Experience working with large-scale DNA sequencing (NGS sequencing)
Experience working with pipetting robots
Experience with quality systems or work within accredited operations (ISO17025, ISO15189, or equivalent)
Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.
The role requires a responsible and proactive person with a positive attitude.
