Transport Service Officer Wanted

We are now looking for a transport service officer for a fixed-term employment with us at the traffic unit.

We are a small group of ten people working with various traffic issues. Welcome to a team characterized by good and close collaboration!

In the role of transport service officer, you will handle incoming applications regarding transport services and national transport services, as well as manage related administration. You will be responsible for the case from the moment it arrives until a final decision is made, which involves contacts with both the applicants and their relatives. In your work, you will also have contact with the public and relevant departments within the municipality, such as the health and social care administration. Some investigative work within the area of operations will also be part of your tasks.

As a transport service officer, you will be part of a network for officers in Västra Götaland where you will have the opportunity to stay updated in your area of expertise and make valuable contacts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree or experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. Good computer skills are a prerequisite as you will need to use various systems in your daily work, as well as a good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish. If you have previously worked with case management and/or authority exercise, we consider that an advantage. The work involves contact with people in various stages of life, and to succeed in the role, a good understanding and sensitivity to the life situations of people with disabilities, as well as a good understanding of the role of an authority person, is required.

You have the ability to take responsibility, structure, and independently plan your work and make your own decisions. You are flexible while being service-oriented and accommodating.

We work closely together in our team, and good collaboration skills as well as an interest in participating in and driving development work within the area of operations are therefore prerequisites. We look forward to your application!

The traffic unit is part of the technical department at the community planning office, which is responsible for the planning and development of the municipality's streets and public spaces with a focus on traffic safety, accessibility, and a long-term sustainable infrastructure for all modes of transport. The traffic unit is also tasked with administering the municipality's transport services and national transport services as an important part of public transport. We are now looking for a new colleague!
