Communicator at the Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate (ISF)

Do you want to work on communicating the results of our operations together with engaged colleagues? We are looking for a communicator who wants to work broadly with communication issues close to operations, management, and employees, and participate in the continued development of ISF in Gothenburg.

The Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate (ISF) is an analysis and supervisory authority that reviews and evaluates the social insurance area.

Currently, ISF employs about 50 people, the majority of whom are investigators with basic or doctoral education in fields such as epidemiology, business administration, law, medicine, economics, statistics, political science, and sociology. ISF analyzes legal security, administrative efficiency, and effects on individuals and society. The mandate includes reviewing the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Pension Authority, and relevant parts of the Swedish Tax Agency.

In the support function, 12 people work with HR, communication, IT, finance, and law.

Job Responsibilities

As a communicator, you will work with many different operational and strategic tasks within the communication field. You are an important support to the core operations and help where needed to drive the work forward.

Job responsibilities include, among others:

• assisting in planning, implementing, and following up on various communication activities
• managing layout, graphic design, and accessibility adaptation of the authority's reports and other materials
• producing short films, presentation materials, newsletters, and advertisements
• writing and publishing on the web, intranet, and social media
• following up and developing digital and social channels and media
• monitoring and analyzing statistics from the web, among others
• managing technology during hybrid meetings.

The communication work at ISF is led by a communication manager. Both the communication manager and the communicator belong to the administrative unit and report to the administrative manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work broadly and help develop communication in a knowledge-intensive organization. You have a genuine interest in communication and keep up with the rapid digital development in the field. Therefore, you are constantly aware of and proficient in new tools and technologies that are being developed.

We are looking for someone who has:

• an academic degree in media and communication studies or another relevant field that the employer deems equivalent
• good knowledge of accessibility adaptation of Word documents and PDF files according to WCAG
• good knowledge of accessibility adaptation of visual material according to WCAG
• good knowledge of layout and the ability to create clear figures and illustrations based on complex data and statistics
• good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Premiere Pro)
• excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• good knowledge of producing texts and communicating messages in an informative and target audience-adapted way across various communication channels
• experience in producing and publishing texts, images, and moving media for web and social media
• good knowledge of accessibility and usability for web and digital media
• good knowledge of web analytics and impact measurements
• good knowledge of film production and image management.

Experience working in the public sector is an advantage. Experience working with Sitevision, Ungapped, and Vizzit is also advantageous.
