About Us

To work more purposefully from Södra Älvsborg Hospital's (SÄS) holistic perspective, an organizational change is underway where the HR unit is being organized into a coordinated staff together with other units within SÄS.

The task of the staff area is to work in strategic and operational perspectives regarding effective administration, with all of SÄS as the client.

The HR unit is characterized by a good working climate with opportunities for professional development. Our team consists of an HR manager, HR partners, HR strategists, HR specialists, and an HR administrator. We work together as a close support based on needs and competencies, supporting the core operations consisting of nine areas. Furthermore, we have several regional assignments and working groups in line with the HR processes decided by the Västra Götaland Region. Our HR unit needs to constantly change and develop alongside the operations, so we need to think development-oriented about goals and results.

About Our Open Position

In line with the organizational change and changing assignments of the HR unit, we are now expanding our team in HR Direct with an additional HR specialist. As an HR specialist, you will support our managers and employees through information, coaching, and advice on HR-related issues via email and phone. This includes contract interpretations, advice on labor law and salary setting. You will also handle employment documentation, monitor layoffs and permanent employment, and coordinate competency-enhancing initiatives within your area.

As part of the team, you will collectively represent SÄS in regional groups for international recruitment, participate in the SÄS AT recruitment process, and coordinate the annual summer recruitment and SÄS bonuses. Furthermore, you will continuously support HR internally on labor law issues with your expertise.

Your Profile

You have a university or college degree with a focus on personnel/labor life/HR. We see that you have basic knowledge of labor law and the ability to apply your legal knowledge in a coaching role. Experience with the personnel administrative systems Heroma and Barium and experience working with payroll is an advantage. We also prefer that you have worked in a public organization and have basic knowledge of general regulations (AB).

As a person, you are professional and have the ability to structure your work in a careful and efficient manner. You are administratively skilled and need to be able to quickly adapt to the tasks and questions that arise and prioritize among them. Communication is a natural part of you, and since the role is largely consultative and coaching in nature, it requires you to be service-oriented and attentive. Furthermore, you find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to build good relationships. If you are also a balanced person who is secure in yourself and can drive your own work forward, you will thrive in this role.
