At Alingsås District Court, nearly 30 employees work with various competencies and professional roles. We handle approximately 2,800 cases each year and receive many visitors daily. Our operations are conducted in pleasant premises located in Alingsås with good communication opportunities. The working method is characterized by a highly competent and well-developed preparation organization with skilled staff. The preparation of civil cases and matters is mainly handled by judges but also by clerks under the judges' leadership. The preparation of criminal cases and bankruptcies is primarily carried out by court administrators. We work in a rota system. All employees collaborate with each other across professional roles and organizational units. Being able to help and support others is seen as an important quality in a small workplace and something that characterizes the work at the district court. The court is well-positioned regarding the digitization of case management and is an open and modern workplace with engaged employees.
The work involves
As a court administrator, you have the important task of managing the administrative part of case handling, from the moment they arrive until they are concluded. The majority of case handling is done digitally. Your tasks include receiving and registering new cases and documents, sending summons and other documents to parties, calling for hearings, and dispatching judgments as well as preparing cases for archiving. As a court administrator, you will work with many tasks simultaneously and sometimes with tight deadlines. The work also involves many contacts both internally and externally.
This position also includes protocol writing and being the court's service of process specialist.
We view positively if you have an interest, qualifications, and are willing to train as a security guard where you will, when necessary, staff the district court's security control and perform other administrative tasks currently handled by our court attendants.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- has at least two years of experience working as a court administrator at a district court
- has a pronounced sense of service and quality
- enjoys handling various tasks, people, and situations
- has the ability to analyze and solve problems
- builds good relationships with colleagues and contributes your competence and commitment to the group's work as well as to the entire operation
- has the ability to prioritize and plan your work during periods of high workload
- can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
It is an advantage if:
• you have worked extensively with service of process
• you have worked with full delegation in indispositive civil cases
• you have the qualifications and are willing to train as a security guard and, when necessary, staff the district court's security control and perform other administrative tasks that lie with the court attendants
Personal qualities
It is essential that you have a high degree of computer proficiency since most of the case handling is done digitally, and you need to feel comfortable with the computer as your primary working tool. You should be able to take responsibility and organize your work both individually and together with the workgroup. It is also important that you have good judgment and enjoy providing service both internally and externally. The work pace is often high, and to thrive with the tasks, you should be calm, stable, and flexible, as well as have a good ability to prioritize and handle pressured situations. Of course, you perform the tasks carefully and with high quality. You represent the court and must be able to instill confidence, manage various personal contacts, and express yourself well in speech and writing.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
