Your Role

We are looking for colleagues in the role of Technical Writer. As a technical writer, you will compile information and data and produce customer documentation for our ground radar systems. The systems are technically complex, and the manuals can range from a few hundred to many thousands of pages.

You will work both in teams and independently, but your role requires a lot of contact with experts and users to receive and verify information. You need to be able to drive your work independently and take responsibility for your deliveries. Our manuals are written in an XML-based production environment in English and Swedish and follow the international specification S1000D.

Your Profile

You have an easy time understanding complex products and advanced technology; perhaps you are an engineering graduate or have a degree in engineering. You are passionate about conveying information and making it understandable for others. You have excellent language skills; you may have previous experience working as a technical writer, or you may have a technical writing education. You are curious, solution-oriented, and good at organizing your work. In your assignments, you contribute with focus and engagement, social competence, and a high level of ambition.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• A good ability to understand complex products
• Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Excellent ability to collaborate in teams
• Experience in writing structured information in CMS

It is advantageous if you:

• Can break down a large task into manageable work packages
• Have experience with Simplified Technical English
• Have knowledge of the S1000D specification

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
