About the Role

In the role of technical writer, you will work independently but belong to an ILS team and participate in tasks to be performed in collaboration with each other. This may involve tasks such as new development or correcting and supplementing existing manuals and producing new documentation. This may also involve extracting information from suppliers of goods and parts that will belong to the plans being manufactured, where the JAS Gripen is the foremost and most talked-about product.

As a technical writer, other tasks may also include conducting measurements and investigations of materials to ensure they are accurate according to the manuals and descriptions you are working with. You will develop support equipment for the technology, and there will also be work in our hangar where you investigate and perform the tests documented according to the instructions in the manuals.

Main tasks will summarize as follows:

• Locate information in technical databases.
• Read drawings and technical documents.
• Integrate technical information into our manuals via a publication system.
• You will be the link between developers and users and have the opportunity to work with structured technical information in a very stimulating industry.
• Maintain frequent contact with people from different parts of the company to receive, search for, and verify the information to be processed.

We are looking for someone with:

• 2-3 years of experience as a technical writer, technical communicator, or equivalent role
• Competence and knowledge in English writing
• A strong technical interest

For this position, you are required to undergo and be approved according to current security protection regulations, which may impose requirements for certain citizenship.

Desirable qualifications for the position:

• Studied a technical education, such as technical communication training
