314.Airbase Security Company

314.Airbase Security Company is part of the 31.Airbase Battalion at the Helicopter Wing, Malmen. The company consists of airbase security platoons, a sensor platoon, and a dog unit. The main task of the company is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security threats against the air combat forces. The Airbase Security Company is part of the 31. Airbase Battalion, whose main tasks are the operation of the Malmen airbase, operation of a mobile airbase, and basic training of conscripts.

41.Airbase Security Platoon/IBSS

The 41.Airbase Security Platoon/IBSS is responsible for the operational security force for the wing and its surrounding area. The main task of IBSS is patrolling, guarding, and responding to security objects in the vicinity. In addition, the platoon also performs basic tasks within combat and security service within the framework of airbase security.

Main Responsibilities

Daily routine service as a soldier involves patrolling, guarding, and responding to assigned areas/objects. The position includes irregular working hours and/or on-call and weekend shifts, which means that the working time is 35h/week. In addition to the daily routine service, training days are conducted aimed at IBSS service but also at airbase security service, where competency-enhancing training is conducted primarily in weapons, vehicles, and combat.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Swedish citizen
  • Driving license B (manual)
  • Meets the Swedish Armed Forces physical requirements (FM FysS)
  • Completed military service/GMU with a passing result (can be ongoing with a good prognosis at the time of recruitment)

Meritorious

  • Previous service in security units
  • Previous work in protection and guarding
  • Military driver's license
  • Military police
  • Approved group leader training

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in smaller groups in a routine and occasionally demanding environment. The majority of the work is conducted within the framework of created activity, which requires physical and mental ability to handle stress and suddenly changing working conditions. You have a high security awareness, good collaboration skills, and high social competence. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and naval operational orientation that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is requested by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or guarding assignments. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.

Our operations span across Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variation in work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen airfield and Linköping garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
