314. Air Base Security Company

314 Air Base Security Company is part of the 31 Air Base Battalion at the Helicopter Wing, Malmen. The company consists of five platoons: Four air base security platoons, one air base security platoon focused on IBSS (Operationally Ready Protection Force), and one sensor platoon with capabilities in CUAS (Counter Unmanned Aircraft System) and RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System).

Main Responsibilities

As a soldier in the 314 Air Base Security Company, your main task is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security threats. The platoons are flexible and operate independently over large areas, which provides great freedom of action for individual groups. The company's activities vary, sometimes at short notice, between live operations, training, and recovery.

Furthermore, your main task is to counter security-threatening activities. Threats can include espionage, sabotage, terrorism, and serious crime. You will be trained, educated, and exercised with the unit's methods and means together with your group. As a soldier in the sensor platoon, you will primarily deepen your knowledge in RPAS and C-UAS.

You will solve your main task, for example, through fixed or mobile reconnaissance using various technical systems. This often involves long periods in the field under demanding conditions where the platoon's groups often work independently. Therefore, you and your group must carry all equipment and supplies to work for extended periods. This places high demands on your collaboration and physical ability, as well as some technical understanding.
