About the Folklife Archive
The Folklife Archive with Skåne's music collections, physically located at Arkivcentrum Syd in Lund, is the only traditional archive in the country affiliated with a university. The connection between collection, research, and teaching has proven fruitful for the archive over the years. The archive, whose catchment area mainly includes southern Sweden, collects and provides material for research purposes, teaching, and the public while adapting the collection to the research questions. The archive's materials include collections, interviews, questionnaires to informants with cooperation agreements, web surveys, recordings, and photographs. A large part of the collections is digitized. An important part of the operation is to make the collections accessible to the public. The archive is contacted and visited by journalists, school classes, teachers, local historians, students, researchers, and others interested in seeking information about a specific subject area or, for example, a specific parish.
We kindly decline all contacts from advertisement sellers, recruitment, and staffing companies due to government procurement regulations.
