Your Role

We now need to strengthen our Design Applications section, which gives you an opportunity to take the next step in your career with us at Saab in Linköping. We are looking for someone who wants to join our team of method developers in the PLM / CAD systems we manage. Your tasks will include supporting our designers in developing, adapting, and optimizing our CAD methodology, as well as performing and documenting functional tests during system changes.

You will also work on streamlining our workflows with Model Based Definition flows based on business requirements.

Examples of tasks:

  • Conduct methodology investigations and method development
  • MBD architecture
  • Verification and testing
  • Provide user support to designers
  • Design specifications and improvement proposals
  • Create and update documentation and user instructions

In your role as a method developer, you will have daily contact with users and stakeholders, as well as close collaboration with our own system developers within the management team. You will also have the opportunity to lead development projects for our CAD applications, in addition to method development and functional testing, if that interests you. Your tasks will be adapted based on your experience in CAD methodology, IT operations, user support, and management.

Your Profile

We believe that you currently have some of the following competencies or experiences:

  • You are a civil engineer, engineering graduate, senior high school engineer, or have equivalent work experience.
  • You are or have worked as a senior designer with good knowledge of one or more systems used in product development, production, or maintenance. The most important of these systems for us are the CAD and PLM tools CATIA, ENOVIA VPM, 3DEXPERIENCE, and Siemens NX/TC.
  • You have previous experience with model-based working methods and integrated system solutions.
  • You are customer-focused and have the ability to see users' needs and wishes.
  • You have the ability to follow a requirement specification, but also critically review information and suggest improvements.
  • You have good analytical skills.
  • You express yourself easily in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to security protection regulations, and for placement in a security class, there are also requirements for certain citizenship.

The workplace is in Linköping, Tannefors.
