Torsviks School is one of Sweden's most successful primary schools. Founded in 1907, it is Lidingö's centrally located school for grades F-9, just a 15-minute commute from T-Centralen. Proximity to both transportation, the city center, and nature makes Torsviks School an exceptionally attractive workplace. The school accommodates about 800 students in grades F-9, of which 250 are in grades F-3.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will work with your team and other colleagues to drive pedagogical development forward. As a leisure educator/teacher for leisure home, you will contribute your expertise, interests, and knowledge to create the best school and leisure home for our children and students.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing activities based on the curriculum together with colleagues. Together with your colleagues, you will stimulate students' development and learning and provide students with a meaningful leisure time. This is done by ensuring that teaching, according to Lgr11, is based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences, while also continuously challenging students further by inspiring them to new discoveries.

In teaching, you are responsible for ensuring that students are offered a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments that integrate care and learning. Your role also includes creating good contact with students and guardians in daily work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained leisure educator, teacher for leisure home, or has equivalent education, and we would like you to have qualifications or experience in teaching one or more subjects. You have experience working with students in need of special support. For the position, you need to have good Swedish in both spoken and written form, and if you have knowledge in ICT, it is an advantage. We also see that you have an interest and knowledge in outdoor education, break activities, and value-based work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and professional experiences in the recruitment process to ensure you are the right person for the current team.
