The Finance Department is responsible for steering, planning, and monitoring the economy of Marks municipality to ensure that resources are used effectively and responsibly. Through budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis, we create the basis for wise decisions and a sustainable economy. The department is divided into two teams: Financial Services, which handles daily financial administration, and the Finance Group, which works with strategic financial management and operational support. We are now looking for a financial officer for Financial Services. You will be one of eight employees who together work on the operational part of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts receivable
- Invoicing
- Accounting
- Incoming and outgoing payments
- Debt collection and claims management
- Reconciliations
The work involves internal and external contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have an education in finance at least at the high school level or equivalent. Post-secondary education and experience from municipal operations (accounts receivable, claims management) are advantageous.
We place great importance on personal qualities and social competence. We expect you to be meticulous, responsible, and focused on delivering high quality in what you do. You are structured, used to working independently, and can handle a varied workload. You enjoy taking initiative and have a good ability to plan your work. We also expect our employees to provide good service to our customers at all times. This also means providing good service to your colleagues and consciously working towards a good work environment. Experience with Visma financial systems is advantageous.
