The Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is responsible for logistics support to units, schools, and centers within the Armed Forces (FM) - nationally and internationally. FMLOG includes, among other things, the Armed Forces Transport Unit, which constitutes the central transport management of the Armed Forces, with functional leadership responsibility for transport services within the Armed Forces and the task of coordinating the implementation of the Armed Forces' strategic and operational transports of personnel, equipment, and entire units. Transportations are conducted as air transport, sea transport, road, and rail transport, both within and outside Sweden.

The Transport Planning Department plans, coordinates, and follows up on the Armed Forces' operational and strategic transports, transits, and compiles the FM transport situation picture on behalf of the Operations Management (OPL). The department also supports the Armed Forces Staff with expertise in the transport function.

The Development and Function Department is tasked with ensuring sufficient transport capacity for the Armed Forces. The department supports FM's strategic and operational planning (OPL and FST) with functional specialists; customs, transport protection, hazardous goods, transport agreements, LOGFAS, and support systems within transport services, as well as subject area specialists for road, rail, sea, and air.
