Fritidsforum is looking for a Secretary General

Do you want to strengthen young people's influence and participation?

We are looking for a Secretary General & Association Secretary for Fritidsforum - Sweden's youth centers and meeting places, a non-profit organization that works to promote young people's self-organization and influence within open leisure activities.

About Fritidsforum

Fritidsforum is a non-profit national organization that works for equality, inclusion, and young people's right to influence their leisure time. We strengthen young people's self-organization through education, networks, and project support, and offer courses for both young people and youth workers. We work for quality development of youth centers and meeting places, and promote long-term relationships, experience exchange, and professional development – both nationally and internationally.

About the role

As Secretary General & Association Secretary, you have a central role in leading and developing our organization. You work closely with the board and its working committee, providing strategic and administrative support to ensure the organization's long-term stability and growth.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for the organization's budget and budget follow-up and financing. 

• Preparation of materials for the working committee and board meetings.

• Support the association chairman with notes, agendas, and materials for, among other things, debate articles, statements, and policy documents as well as external meetings. 

• Responsible for maintaining and strengthening the membership base in the long term.

• Ensure a well-functioning secretariat and management.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience in strategic and administrative work within the non-profit sector, preferably in a leadership role. You are a person who is passionate about young people's influence and participation and want to work to strengthen their opportunities for organization.

Qualifications:

• University education or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

• Experience in financial management and budget responsibility.

• Experience in organizational development and voluntary engagement.

• Good ability to write and formulate materials for board work, debate articles, and policy documents, external meetings. 

• Understanding of open leisure activities and young people's organization.

Practical information

Extent: Full-time

Location: Stockholm 

Start date: By agreement

Fixed-term employment for 1 year with the possibility of extension. 

Collective agreement: Fremia
