Unit Manager for the Foreign Section
Do you want to lead a socially important organization that makes a difference every day? We are now looking for an engaged and present unit manager for the Foreign Section, located in Sundbyberg, Norrköping, Gothenburg, or Malmö.

Your Workplace
The Foreign Unit 4 is located within the Foreign Section, which is responsible for the resettlement process, coordinates and conducts migration operations at Sweden's foreign missions, and coordinates the return of those who are to leave Sweden. Your unit is responsible for developing operations at our foreign missions and for dispatched employees on assignments for EUAA.
Your Mission
As a unit manager at the Migration Agency, you will have the opportunity to lead a unit in constant development, where improvements and long-term thinking are a natural part of everyday life. The unit currently consists of engaged employees, and you will be an important player in the section management group.
You have full responsibility for personnel, budget, and work environment and lead your employees by being present, supportive, and decisive. You identify improvement areas together with your employees, create structure and conditions for participation, and drive a culture of accountability and development.
The unit collaborates within the agency but also with other authorities and external parties. You report to the section manager and are part of the section's management group. Travel in the service occurs.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on good judgment and a high awareness of security and confidentiality.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree (at least 120 credits) in a relevant field or other education combined with relevant experience for the role
- Management experience with responsibility for personnel, work environment, and budget
- Experience in driving change work with good results
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge of the Migration Agency's operations and assignments, preferably related to work at a foreign mission
- Experience in a supervisory position at a foreign mission
- Experience in managerial roles within a government agency

Security clearance with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. Employment is conditional on a successful security clearance.
