We are looking for a department head for our newly established department, Knowledge Development and Analysis. The department is responsible for conducting analyses and surveys within the authority's areas of operation, as well as evaluations of the authority's interventions. In dialogue with the rest of the organization, the department will create long-term conditions for the authority to systematically develop and act on knowledge, thereby being able to develop, streamline, and prioritize among interventions. The department will also work to create conditions for active knowledge dissemination both externally and internally within the authority's area.

As the department head, you will have a central role in representing the authority externally in various contexts, such as networks, collaborations, and dialogues with other authorities, organizations, and stakeholders. You are expected to contribute to strengthening the authority's position as a knowledge authority.

The department consists of approximately 50 employees divided into two units: the Evaluation and Reporting unit and the Analysis and Statistics unit. In the role of department head, you have overall responsibility for the department's results, personnel, and finances. You lead and develop the operations through trust-based leadership and ensure that the work is carried out efficiently and with high quality.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading, organizing, planning, and following up on the department's work.
  • Being responsible for the department's results, employees, and budget.
  • Developing working methods and creating conditions for collaboration within and outside the authority.

Your workplace will be: Stockholm

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • At least five years of current experience as a manager with personnel and budget responsibility.
  • At least five years of current experience working in government administration at the national level.
  • Experience in leading work to analyze complex problems and transforming them into clear decision-making materials, including policy development, investigations, evaluations, and follow-ups.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish administrative model.
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The Following Are Meritorious:

  • A strong understanding of the work of the Government Offices.
  • Experience in systematically disseminating analyses and knowledge materials.
  • Current experience in leading through other managers.
  • Experience in building and implementing a new operation.

As a person, we are looking for you to be a relationship-building and strategic leader who is passionate about collaboration and development. You are skilled in planning, organizing, and following up on complex operations and have experience in driving work towards clear goals. As our representative in external contexts, you are confident in the role and communicate the authority's knowledge and results clearly, professionally, and inspiringly.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

We expect you to live up to our employee and management policy, which expresses the expectations we have for all employees.
