We are now looking for a physical education teacher for Brevik School.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating work individually and together with other educators at the school according to the school's governing documents and with our vision in mind. You will primarily conduct your own teaching while also collaborating closely with other educators in the organization. As a teacher, you work to promote each student's development and learning. It is your responsibility to create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You are a role model for all students at the school. Currently, there is no mentorship in the position.

At the school, we work with a common values-based approach. We are guided by the word BREVIK: Care, Respect, Good Friend, Polite Language, No Bullying, and Show Compassion. The school invests time in creating a good recess program for our students.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and teaching certification in physical education for grades F-6. We would also like you to have another subject to teach and previous work experience as a teacher.

To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have a good ability to collaborate, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. You need to be self-assured, stable, and have good self-awareness. It is important in the role that you have a well-developed pedagogical ability. You have a good understanding of how children and adolescents acquire knowledge and the various conditions for learning. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization.
