The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to higher education, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and community orientation for newcomers. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a speech therapist, you will work independently but in close collaboration with educators, special educators, speech therapists, and the principal, with the municipality's preschools and primary schools as your field of work. You will contribute your expertise in everything from language development initiatives to guidance and support in teams around children and students, helping to support children's speech, language, and communication in preschool and preschool class.

Your work will primarily focus on children who have difficulties in these areas and need special support. The work consists of guidance and consultation to work teams, special educators, and the principal, as well as assessments and individual support as needed. In preschool class, the speech therapist participates in the linguistic screening conducted with all students.

The speech therapist regularly participates in the school's health team and collaborates with external resources as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Speech therapy or special education degree, or other further education/degree that the employer deems equivalent.
• Driver's license (B).
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience in providing guidance individually and/or in groups.
