We aim to capture every child's and student's desire to learn and encourage each individual to want to develop.

Lindöskolan is beautifully located almost in the city center. We have walking distance to the sea, the city center, and the fantastic nature. Lindöskolan has approximately 340 students from preschool class to grade 6. Grades F-3 are located at Lindövägen, while grades 4-6 are located at Gröndalsvägen.

If a student needs more support than what the home school can provide, there are municipal special education groups with specific expertise. The special education groups are placed in schools within the municipality, and this fall another group for preschool class to grade 3 and after-school care will start at Lindöskolan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in the municipal special education group (KSU), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching. The role includes close contact with guardians and other partners to meet the individual needs of the students. In your work, you have access to a team and student health services at the school. Continuous guidance from central student health is included in the role. At the start, all staff receive basic training, and thereafter continuous professional development tailored to the needs of the groups is provided. There is ongoing collaboration between the municipal special education groups to continuously develop the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher who is qualified to teach from preschool class to grade 3. We prefer that you have as broad subject qualifications as possible. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations. You take responsibility for tasks and can organize and prioritize them. You easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can and want to work with other people and see teamwork as a given. You are calm, attentive, and aware in your interactions and have the ability to recognize and value differences. You can create participation and consensus around the activity. As a colleague, you bring enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work. You have the ability to see the activity and the student from a holistic perspective. We also prefer that you have good knowledge of and experience working with NPF pedagogy. A police record extract must be presented before employment.

OTHER

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is employed. This means that you, as an applicant, need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permits.

As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and are expected to contribute with your work during heightened readiness.
