We aim to capture every child's and student's desire to learn and encourage each individual to want to develop.

Lindö School is beautifully situated almost in the center of the city. We have walking distance to the sea, the city center, and the fantastic nature. Lindö School has approximately 340 students from preschool class to grade 6. Grades F-3 are located at Lindövägen, while grades 4-6 are located at Gröndalsvägen.

If a student needs more support than what the home school can provide, there are municipal special education groups with specific expertise. These special education groups are placed in schools throughout the municipality, and this fall, an additional group for preschool class to grade 3 and after-school care will start, located at Lindö School.

Together, we make Kalmar even better for everyone. We are looking for someone who wants to help shape and develop this important operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special teacher in the municipal special education group (KSU), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching. This role includes close contact with guardians and other partners to meet the individual needs of the student. In your work, you have access to a work team and student health at the school.

As support in your role, continuous guidance from central student health is included. At the start, all staff receive basic training, and thereafter continuous professional development tailored to the needs of the groups is provided. There is ongoing collaboration between the municipal special education groups to constantly develop the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified special teacher and has a broad subject qualification for preschool class to grade 3. We prefer that you have good knowledge of and experience working with NPF pedagogy. As a person, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations. You take responsibility for tasks and can organize and prioritize them. You easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can and want to work together with other people and see teamwork as a given. As a colleague, you bring enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work. You have the ability to see the operation and the student from a holistic perspective. A police record extract must be presented before employment.

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is hired. This means that you, as an applicant, need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permit.

As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be placed at your workplace and are expected to contribute with your work during heightened readiness.
