The Department of Children and Education in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to university, and also oversees Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and civic orientation for newcomers. Our common goal is for the children and youth of Vimmerby municipality to have the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the curriculum of compulsory school and accustomed to working with applicable goals and quality standards within the compulsory school system. You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set out in the curriculum, contributing to the implementation and fulfillment of the compulsory school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades F-6 in the subjects of mathematics, science, and technology.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to others in an open and attentive manner both in your teaching and in the daily life of the school. In this way, you contribute to creating an open and unpretentious collaborative climate where questions and potential challenges can be resolved constructively and where everyone takes shared responsibility for achieving set goals. This approach means that you find it easy to build good and trusting relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues.

Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible person who is comfortable planning and structuring your work based on applicable goals and quality standards within the compulsory school system. At the same time, we value innovative thinking in the organization and would like you to be a person who brings thoughts and new ideas that you also implement in practice to contribute to the development of both daily work and the organization as a whole. Having a relational approach is essential for us as it is something we highly value in our operations.

For the position, it is also required that you have very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
