Music Teacher Wanted in Emmaboda Municipality

Emmaboda Municipality is in an exciting phase of development where the modern small town is being built. The municipality is a hub in the heart of southeastern Sweden, close to beautiful nature as well as Kalmar, Karlskrona, and Växjö. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job includes both classroom teaching in music and instrument instruction both individually and in groups. Our students include grades F-9 as well as high school. Classroom and instrument teaching takes place during the day. Student concerts in the evening are part of the position.

Temporary position for 5 weeks with the possibility of extension. Part-time 60% (with the possibility of more).

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an appropriate education in music/pedagogy. Broad experience in pedagogical work and a strong interest in working with children and youth. A main instrument and one or more secondary instruments (strings and woodwinds are particularly interesting). We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as being social, creative, communicative, and cooperative. Being a good listener and having an understanding of the different conditions of children and youth is essential. A teaching license with qualifications for classroom teaching in music in primary school is particularly meritorious. A driver's license is required.
