Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation is a municipal federation tasked with conducting and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

Jenny Nyström School is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation and has over 800 students distributed across six different national programs and three introductory programs. Within Jenny Nyström School, there is also an adapted upper secondary school. We are a forward-looking school with an open climate that believes in both you as a teacher and in our students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and creative teacher for our programs in restaurant and food as well as hotel and tourism.

The position is from August 10, 2026, to June 16, 2027.

With us, you will teach in serving, bar techniques, beverages, food and drink combinations, as well as tourism and travel, while also following up on students' internships through APL visits and apprenticeship visits. We work with a one-to-one concept, where digital tools are used as a natural part of teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have experience in the restaurant, serving work, tourism, and travel industry, a teaching license, and several years of professional experience is an advantage. You can adapt teaching to students' needs, show flexibility and creativity, and use digital aids naturally in teaching.

With us, you will have the opportunity to develop teaching, contribute your own ideas, and work closely with students both in the classroom and during practical moments.

You will be part of a team with teachers from both the restaurant program and the Hotel and Tourism program.

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record for work in schools must be presented.
