We are now looking for substitute teachers for the Education Administration!

The Education Administration is responsible for fulfilling the municipality's tasks within the public and voluntary school system for children and youth, as well as care services for children.

This includes family day care, preschool, preschool class, school-age childcare, primary school, special primary school, youth centers, after-school programs, libraries, and cultural schools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities that occur within childcare and schools:

Preschool 1-5 years and after-school programs 6-12 years

• Substituting in preschool or after-school programs means that you replace regular staff and perform most of that person's tasks. Taking responsibility for a group of children includes, for example, having gatherings, gymnastics, going to the forest, dressing, dishwashing, changing diapers, assisting with toilet visits, and more.
• When you arrive at the preschool or after-school program, the most important thing is to connect with the children and get to know them. You cannot focus solely on a few children but must oversee the entire group. It requires sensitivity, engagement, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Preschool class - school year 9th grade.

• Substituting in preschool class or primary school means that you replace regular staff. You must be able to follow instructions from the teacher you are substituting for while being prepared to improvise.
• When you arrive at school, it is important to build relationships with children/students and be attentive to their needs. Above all, it is important to take adult responsibility and be able to set boundaries.

Youth center 12-18 years

• Substituting at a youth center means that you replace regular staff. You will lead structured activities and participate in the social interactions of the youth. It is important to take adult responsibility and be able to set boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome applications from those who wish to work as substitutes in preschool, school, after-school programs, and youth centers. The work as a substitute requires great flexibility, initiative, and responsibility. You must be at least 18 years old. We are primarily looking for individuals with education and/or experience in childcare/school and preferably have experience working with children.

OTHER

When applicants are offered employment, a criminal record extract from the police is required according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act. The extract is ordered by the applicant from the Police Authority. The form can be downloaded from www.polis.se or obtained at the nearest police station.
