Coordinator Wanted at the Supervisory Authority in Collaboration

The Supervisory Authority is a municipal supervisory authority with the task of overseeing the work performed by guardians, trustees, and custodians for minors and the property of principals. The operations are mainly governed by the rules in the Parental Code, the Guardianship Ordinance, and the Administrative Procedure Act.

The municipalities of Härryda, Kungsbacka, Mölndal, Partille, and Öckerö have a joint supervisory organization called Supervisory Authority in Collaboration. The municipalities have also established a joint supervisory board. The population in the collaborating municipalities is approximately 250,000 inhabitants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supervisory Authority in collaboration consists of 14 employees, including two coordinators. The unit is located in Mölndal, where the Supervisory Authority in collaboration is part of the Legal and Administrative Governance Department at the City Management Administration. As one employee chooses to move on to another position within the department after many years, there is now an open position for this important role and an opportunity to become part of a highly competent and pleasant workgroup.

In the role of coordinator, you will be responsible for dividing the work within the team, following up on operations, preparing training, and onboarding new employees. You will report deviations and be responsible for the unit's confidentiality cases as well as annually follow up on certain case types in accordance with procedures. As a coordinator, you will also drive change and development work within the unit together with the unit manager, for example, related to digital tools and working methods.

As a coordinator, you will also work as a supervisory case officer with oversight and processing of cases related to guardianship, trusteeship, and custodianship. In the role of supervisory case officer, independent decision-making and oversight in matters for which the supervisory authority is responsible are included. You should be able to make legal assessments and handle qualified cases. The work also includes reviewing accounting documents, writing applications and opinions to the court, and, where applicable, representing the authority in court.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in law, economics, social sciences, or another education that we consider equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience in developing and implementing digital solutions in your previous workplace. Work experience in law, case management, or similar is also meritorious.

As a coordinator, you are structured, meticulous, and efficient. You can easily prioritize and adapt to the needs of the organization. Furthermore, you are responsible and solution-focused with a positive attitude towards change work. You are eager to contribute new ideas and want to help drive our digital development forward and are a proficient IT user.

You also have strong social skills and enjoy working with people in various situations. Collaboration is important in our unit, and we highly value team spirit. You express yourself clearly and communicate well in both speech and writing.
