About the Special Flight Squadron
The Special Flight Squadron conducts flight services with radar and signal reconnaissance, transport aviation activities, aircraft maintenance services, and work on continued airworthiness. The Special Flight Squadron is a rapid response unit that can be deployed at short notice for missions both nationally and internationally.
The Special Flight Company
Is an aircraft maintenance company organized within the Special Flight Squadron and based in Linköping, Malmen.
The main task of the company is to ensure the airworthiness of the Fpl 100 SAAB 340, in line with the planned flight time usage. The operations are primarily conducted at the Special Flight Squadron Malmen in Linköping, but work at other locations, both nationally and internationally, may occur.
Main Responsibilities
You will perform Certificate Release to Service (CRS) according to authorization B1 and/or B2 on aircraft system 100 according to the applicable capability list. We expect you to contribute to the efficiency of operations through improvements in equipment, tools, and inventory management. Service as a flight mechanic is carried out according to FOM and local flight manager directives. As a flight mechanic, you are part of the crew belonging to the flight operational organization with technical responsibility and participate in both short-term and long-term tasks within aircraft maintenance and operational activities.

Qualifications
- Officer in aviation technical service
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English
- Driving license B manual transmission
- Authorization B1 and/or B2
- Swedish citizenship and approved security and background check

- Service-oriented and easy to make contact with people.
- Good collaboration skills and enjoy working both in a team and independently.
- Engaged, proactive, structured, and striving for high-quality results.
- High safety awareness.

The position requires physical and mental capability, undertaking business trips, participating in training and exercises in the war organization. Since both the position and the tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our organization. Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources for transport and special aviation. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are conducted in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
