Welcome with your application as a temporary planning officer!
We at the community building unit are responsible for issues related to housing supply, housing and energy grants, climate adaptation, cultural heritage, community planning, processing of appeals, legal consultations, administration of general elections, and permitting in various areas.
The areas of responsibility include both overarching development and coordination assignments, as well as more specific tasks and ongoing case handling.
The position as a planning officer is a temporary position from April 2026 to March 2027 and will belong to the area of community planning.
Your tasks
As a planning officer, you will provide feedback on and review detailed and comprehensive plans as well as road and railway plans. As a planning officer, you have an important role in balancing different interests in the community building process and promoting a holistic view of the built environment.
The work is conducted both independently and in teams, in consultation and close collaboration within the County Administrative Board as well as with municipalities and other authorities. Together with the working group, you will strive for continuous improvements in operations, routines, and working methods, and contribute to a good and open working climate.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree as a planning architect, community planner, or other education that we consider equivalent.
Experience in state or municipal physical planning, and knowledge of planning and building legislation is an advantage.
Your personal suitability for the position is important to us. In the recruitment process, we will therefore place great emphasis on your competencies.
We expect you, as an employee of the County Administrative Board, to take responsibility for your work and your results in relation to set goals, while also helping your colleagues and contributing to the collective work of the team. A prerequisite for this is that you are good at collaborating and have a structured working method.
Our complex operations require good analytical skills to make the right decisions. Since the work involves a fair amount of internal and external contacts, it is important that you have well-developed communication skills, both orally and in writing.
To fully contribute to the results of the operations, you need to be able to place your tasks in a larger context and prioritize accordingly. You can balance quality requirements against available resources. We are constantly working to develop our operations, and you are expected to actively participate in this work.
Since site visits may be part of the job, it is advantageous if you have a B driver's license.
